Our Expertise Research team

We have world-class expertise in interdisciplinary research capabilities to invent
breakthrough technologies and products.

Dr. Ganesan Elumalai

He received
his B.S. degree in chemistry from Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, India in
2007. He received his M.S. degree in analytical chemistry from VIT University,
Vellore, India in 2009. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Hokkaido University,
Sapporo, Japan in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Kohei Uosaki. He worked
as a NIMS postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute for Materials Science
(NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan (2014–2017). He then joined as a Project Scientist C, at
ARCI-Centre for fuel cell technology, Chennai, India (2017–2019). In 2020, he
joined at the University of Tsukuba as a postdoctoral researcher. His current
research interests include the preparation of electro catalysts (bi-, tri-metal
alloys, high entropy alloys) for fuel cell and water electrolysis, fabrication
of catalyst-coated membrane (CCM), membrane electrode assembly (MEA) and
single-cell testing (Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) and water
electrolysis (PEMWE)). He is also interested on the controlled growth/liquid
exfoliation and novel property exploration of 2D atomic layer
(graphene/hexagonal boron nitride/borophene) thin crystals.

Dr Kalaivanan Loganathan

Experienced
scientific researcher with three-plus year of project experience with an
interdisciplinary background in science and engineering. PhD graduate
researcher at KAUST – (August 2017-Present).Exploring a new solution-based,
low-cost & scalable lithography technique called adhesion lithography and
developing a self-forming nanogap technique at the Laboratory of Advanced
Materials and Applications (LAMA research group).  Ultra-fast (>100
GHz) Schottky diodes fabricated by employing this technique along with
solution-processed oxide semiconductors.

Karthigeyan Selvaraj

Karthigeyan is a dedicated researcher specializing in advanced materials and sustainable
energy systems. His research primarily focuses on carbon fiber composite
materials, Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cells, PEM electrolyzers, and
integrated renewable energy systems, including electrolyzers, batteries, gas
turbines, solar, and wind power. Karthigeyan earned his M.Tech in
Nanoscience and Technology from Pondicherry University, building on a solid
foundation from his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics
Engineering. His academic background has equipped him with a deep understanding
of both the theoretical and practical aspects of cutting-edge energy
technologies. In his professional career, Karthigeyan has shown a keen interest
in product development and the commercialization of lab-scale technologies. He
is passionate about bridging the gap between research and market-ready
solutions, leveraging his expertise to develop and refine products that meet
industry needs. Additionally, Karthigeyan is actively involved in venture
capital financing, seeking opportunities to support and grow innovative
ventures in the energy sector. Karthigeyan is committed to providing research
and develop
ment solutions to various organizations, helping them navigate the

complexities of emerging technologies and achieve their sustainability goals.

His work is characterized by a holistic approach, integrating multiple energy
sources and technologies to create efficient, sustainable, and commercially
viable solutions.
